Did you know? - New Quotes Package

To help you and your client save time, FMI have introduced a new Quotes Package!

At FMI, we are continuously looking for ways to make sure that doing business with us is quick and simple. The following changes to our Quotes Package will ensure that writing business with FMI is easier than ever:

• A simple BPE quote and application form with reduced required information and simple occupation classes
• Reduction in standard medical requirements for PIP:
• Focus on blood profile and the Short Medical Report (SMR)
• Improved non-medical limits (no doctor medicals) and reduced blood tests
• Fewer SMR questions
• Nurses will now complete the medical questionnaires as part of the supplied nurse service

In keeping with market practice, FMI has also introduced a minimum premium to all new applications on Business Person Elect and Express Income. This R150 minimum premium will be the minimum policy premium for all benefits, including the policy fee.

How do I download the new Quotes Package?

1. Offline / Stand-Alone Users: Automatic updates will run when you open the Quotes Package application, provided that you have not de-activated the automatic update function. This download may take between 2 - 25 minutes, depending on line speed.

To re-activate the update function: Open the FMI Quotes Package Offline version > Click on File > Updates > Check for Updates.

2. Online Users: The web-based Quotes Package will immediately reflect the correct version when you next log-on.

PLEASE NOTE: As of end September, only applications made using the new Quotes Package will be processed.
